“It was truly Leonard Bernstein’s West Side Story that made me fall in love with ‘classical’ music. I adore the works of Strauss, Puccini, Berlioz and Adams. I have so much to owe to my dear late singing teacher Matthew Best, who seriously taught me how to sing and gave me such confidence through his unending patience, kindness and guidance. I’m so grateful to have known such an incredible man with a voice and heart the size of a mountain.
I come from a wee town in the highlands of Scotland called Elgin, up near Inverness. I love hiking, open water swimming and I’m huge fan of all of Sabrina Carpenter’s albums. I also love my cocker spaniel puppy called Jura, she provides constant entertainment with her endless energy.”
