At BYO we have a pretty wide network of friends and colleagues. It’s how we’ve always found professionals to work with. But there are lots of great people we don’t know – and we believe that what makes you good at what you do is your skills and experience, not who you know.
From now on we’re going to try and open up opportunities to work with us by advertising them publicly. It’s all in the interests of creating a more transparent opera industry, where it’s possible for anyone to build a career. We’re confident some familiar faces will apply, and we’ll still work with many of our old friends, but we want to meet some new talented freelancers as well.
