“My first repetiteuring experience was a university production of Semele, where I also joined the chorus. From there I worked frequently with contemporary opera - as a composer myself (with a ballet, and 3 chamber-operas premiered internationally) it makes sense I would gravitate first towards new and experimental writing. Composing and working with singers fuelled my passion for opera, and so in 2024 I decided to pursue further training as a repetiteur, funded by an Arts Council grant.
Some remarkable facts about me: Like many people from Salford, I grew up in Salford I cannot read, write, or speak Estonian. I am in the top 10% of chess players globally. I am one of the few people to have appeared on more podcasts than they've listened to.”
