“I came to opera during the second year of my undergraduate degree, having been singing principally musical theatre until then. I’ve always enjoyed bringing a character to life on stage, so it’s no surprise the roles I’m often drawn to are character roles, be they funny, sneaky, dopey or downright evil. It’s these roles I hope to make my career from as they’re by far the most fun!
Even outside of opera I have a connection to the arts; working in a management position at a local arts centre. It’s wonderful to have a day job that keeps me in touch with culture even when I’m not performing myself.”
