“I'm an early-career stage manager who fell in love with show calling for opera and musicals after discovering technical theatre at university. I've tried my hand at set, lighting and sound but nothing beats bringing it all together and cueing a show to a complex score. The infrastructure behind theatre productions has also become an academic interest, with ethnographic fieldwork at the Edinburgh Fringe forming the backbone for my undergraduate Social Anthropology dissertation about belonging and social maintenance occuring backstage.
Having grown up in Morecambe, I love living by the sea and getting to watch incredible sunsets across the bay. If I'm not in a theatre, I can usually be found baking bread in the kitchen or listening to an audiobook.”
