It’s the week before Christmas. You’ve spent the afternoon dashing through Covent Garden, ticking off those last-minute presents. You pause with a cup of mulled wine, taking in the glow of the giant tree and the market bustle. Maybe you even brave a wobbly lap or two around the Somerset House ice rink. But now what? Where do you go to warm up, unwind and really sink into the festive mood?

Tucked inside one of Christopher Wren’s most beautiful churches (it even pops up in Bridget Jones’s Diary) we’re hosting our annual evening that wraps up everything we love about this time of year.

With traditional Christmas favourites like Sussex Carol and It Came Upon a Midnight Clear, classic tunes like White Christmas and The Man with the Bag, and choral versions of fitting modern pieces like Laura Mvula’s Sing to the Moon and Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah.

We’ll also be joined by the BAFTA-winning star of The Thick of It and Riot Women, Joanna Scanlan, who’ll be providing some festive readings.
