We are delighted to announce that British Youth Opera's President, Sir Thomas Allen, will join recent BYO alumni onstage at a fundraising gala recital and dinner on 24 May in London's Fishmongers' Hall.

This is a rare opportunity to hear one of the country's most celebrated baritones in a private concert, performing a selection of favourite arias and duets alongside singers from recent BYO seasons who are now making their own names on the opera stages of the world:

  • Meeta Raval
    (Magda, La rondine, 2008)
  • Catherine Hopper
(Madame Larina, Eugene Onegin, 2006 and Mrs Herring, Albert Herring, 2007)
  • Nicky Spence
(Bill, Flight, 2008 and Tom Rakewell, The Rake's Progress, 2009)

The concert and dinner take place in one of the most impressive livery halls in London.

Drinks will be served in the Court Dining and Drawing Rooms, with their spectacular views of the Thames, before the performance in the magnificent Banqueting Hall and a chance to meet the singers over a 3-course dinner provided by the Fishmongers' Hall team and their award-winning Head Chef.

A limited number of tickets for this black tie fundraising event are available at £250 each using this booking form.

All proceeds go to support the work of British Youth Opera (a registered charity).
